Mobile Web: Prod and PrePod
This document aims to provide comprehensive guidance for performing the Fingerprint signing with the help of the Precision PB1000 L1 device in the mobile web browser with NSDL as the Esigning Service Provider (ESP) in both the Production and Pre-Production environment.
Below are the prerequisites required to perform the Aadhaar-based fingerprint signing in the production environment with the help of the Precision PB1000 L1 device.
1. Precision PB100 L1 RD Service App: Download from the Google Play Store.
2. Precision Certificate: Please drop an email to precision support at [email protected] requesting to provide the certificate.
3. InnaIt Precision App: Please drop an email to precision support at [email protected] requesting to provide the certificate.
4. Precision Biometric Device L1 (PB1000 L1).
Once you have all the above-mentioned prerequisites follow the below steps to set up the Precision PB1000 L1 device to perform the signing.
To make the setup process for fingerprint signing easier, Please find the video tutorial included in the documentation below. This video offers a step-by-step guide on how to configure the fingerprint device to perform secure signings.
Step 1: Go to the mobile settings app. Search for the “CA Certificate”.
Step 2: Click on the “CA Certificate”. The confirmation page will open. Click on “Install Anyways”. The Mobile device will ask for the device password enter your mobile device password.
Step 3: Search for the “Precision-CA1.cer” certificate and click on the file.
Step 4: A confirmation message will appear stating that the “CA is Installed”.
Step 5: Connect the PB1000 device to the mobile device. A message will appear tick the checkbox and click on “OK”.
Step 6: Another message will appear on the screen asking to set the environment. By default, it is set to production. Click on the “OK” button.
Step 7: The device initializing process will start. Please wait for a few seconds.
Step 8: Once the initialization process is complete. A confirmation message will appear stating that the “Device is ready to use. PB1000 powered by precision”.
Step 9: Click on the InnaIt application. Allow the permissions that appear on the screen.
Step 10: A message appears on the screen stating that the “Precision WebService is Running”.
Step 11: Navigate to the signing link sent to the signer’s email and mobile number (provided while initiating the contract).
Step 12: The pre-verification page will open, where the user needs to perform verification using a one-time OTP. Click on the “Get OTP” button.
Step 13: The user will receive the OTP on their email and mobile number provided during contract initiation.
Step 14: Enter the OTP received via email or mobile number and click the “Verify” button.
Step 15: Upon successful verification, the user will land on the contract page. Click on the “I want to sign” button to proceed.
Step 16: The NSDL Interface will appear. A notification from the InnaIT SA app’s notification will appear. Tap on the notification.
Step 17: After this the second notification from the InnaIT app will appear. Tap on the notification.
Step 18: The Precision PB1000 device is automatically detected. Fill in the Aadhaar Number. Select the “Precision PB1000”. Tick the consent box and click on the "capture button".
Step 19: A notification will appear at the top of the screen to capture the fingerprint. Tap the notification.
Step 20: An embedded message will be displayed. Click the “OK” button.
Step 21: The application will automatically open. Place your finger on the device.
Step 22: An embedded confirmation page will appear with a confirmation message stating “Finger Captured Successfully”.
Step 23: The user will be automatically redirected to the signed contract where they can see their signature affixed to it. Click on “Done” to complete the signing process.
Step 24: The user will see the Success page and can click on the “Great” button or be redirected to the success URL set by the contract initiator after 5 seconds.
Step 25: The user will receive a confirmation email with the header “Confirmation of signing the document,” containing the signed contract along with the text SMS.
Step 26: Once all signers have signed the contract, the user will receive another email and SMS with the header “Your document signing has been finalized successfully,” containing the final signed contract and the Audit Trail Certificate.
