Mobile Web: Prod and Preprod
This document aims to provide comprehensive guidance for performing the Fingerprint signing with the help of the Mantra MFS110 L1 device in the mobile web browser with CDSL as the Esigning Service Provider (ESP) in both the Production and Pre-Production environment.
The Mantra MFS110 L1 Device is registered for the production environment by default. If the device is not registered production environment please drop an email to the [email protected] along with the device serial number requesting to register the device for the pre-production environment.
Below are the prerequisites required to perform the Aadhaar-based fingerprint signing in the production environment with the help of the Mantra MFS110 L1 device.
1. MFS110 L1 RD Service App: Download from the Google Play Store.
2. Mantra Biometric Device L1 (MFS110 L1).
Once you have all the above-mentioned prerequisites follow the below steps to set up the Mantra MFS110 L1 device to perform the signing.
Step 1: Open the MFS110 L1 RD Service App. Allow all the permissions to appear on the screen.
Step 2: MFS110 RD Service will ask to draw over the app and click the “Allow” button.
Step 3: The mobile settings app will open from the list of the apps asking to display over the apps look for the MFS110 RD Service. Click on it and turn on the toggle to allow the app to display over the app
Step 4: To install the certificate open the mobile settings app and under “Password and Security” go to “Credential Storage”. Under credential storage Click on “Install certificate from storage” and click on the “CA Certificate”.
Step 5: The confirmation page will open. Click on “Install Anyways”. The Mobile device will ask for the device password enter your mobile device password.
Step 6: Select the certificate from the path storage/emulated/0/Android/media/com.mantra.mfs110.rdservice/MantraCert. There will be two certificates. Both the certificates need to be installed.
Step 7: Click on the first certificate. The first certificate will be installed. A confirmation message will appear stating that the “CA is Installed”.
Step 8: Click on the CA Certificate. Then click on the second certificate, and it will be installed. A confirmation message will appear stating that the “CA certificate is Installed”.
Step 9: Go back to the "User Credential" and open it. Both the installed certificates will appear.
Step 10: Open the MFS110 L1 RD Service App. Click on three dots and Click on “Restart Https and Http”. The restarting process will start.
Step 11: Visit https://rdtest.aadhaardevice.com and click on the “Discover AVDM”
Step 12: A confirmation message will appear stating “RDSERVICE Discover Successfully”. Click the “OK” button.
Step 13: Before connecting the device to the Android mobile please ensure in the mobile settings app the “OTG Connection” toggle is turned on.
Step 14: Accept the permission that appears on the screen. The device int process will start and a confirmation message will be displayed stating the device is ready to use.
Step 15: Open the installed MFS100 L1 RD Service app. Ensure all three parameters appear as green.
Step 16: Navigate to the signing link sent to the signer’s email and mobile number (provided while initiating the contract).
Step 17: The pre-verification page will open, where the user needs to perform verification using a one-time OTP. Click on the “Get OTP” button.
Step 18: The user will receive the OTP on their email and mobile number provided during contract initiation.
Step 19: Enter the OTP received via email or mobile number and click the “Verify” button.
Step 20: Upon successful verification, the user will land on the contract page. Click on the “I want to sign” button to proceed.
Step 21: The CDSL interface will have a screen “Discovering devices, Please wait’.
Step 22: The interface will automatically detect the Mantra MFS110 L1 Device.
Step 23: Fill in the Aadhaar Number. Tick the consent box.
Step 24: Scroll down and click on the “Start Capture” button.
Step 25: The Mantra Interface will appear on the screen. Place your finger firmly on the device. The fingerprint will be automatically detected.
Step 26: The user will be automatically redirected to the signed contract where they can see their signature affixed to it. Click on “Done” to complete the signing process.
Step 27: The user will see the Success page and can click on the “Great” button or be redirected to the success URL set by the contract initiator after 5 seconds.
Step 28: The user will receive a confirmation email with the header “Confirmation of signing the document,” containing the signed contract along with the text SMS.
Step 29: Once all signers have signed the contract, the user will receive another email and SMS with the header “Your document signing has been finalized successfully,” containing the final signed contract and the Audit Trail Certificate.

To simplify the setup process for fingerprint signing, we have included a video tutorial in the documentation. This video offers a step-by-step guide on how to configure the fingerprint device to perform secure signings

Step 2: MFS110 RD Service will ask to draw over the app and click the “Allow” button.
Step 3: The mobile settings app will open from the list of the apps asking to display over the apps look for the MFS110 RD Service. Click on it and turn on the toggle to allow the app to display over the app
Step 4: Click back and open the MFS110 RD Service app. Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen.
Step 5: The settings page of the MFS110 RD Service app will open. Click 7 times on the “Settings” written on the taskbar at the top-middle of the screen.
Step 6: An interface will appear on the screen to select the environment.
Step 7: Click on the drop-down and select “PP” from the drop-down. Click the “OK” button.
Step 8: A confirmation message will appear on the screen stating the “Environment changed from Production to Pre Production”.
Step 9: To install the certificate open the mobile settings app and under “Password and Security” go to “Credential Storage”. Under credential storage Click on “Install certificate from storage” and click on the “CA Certificate”.
