Windows Web: Prod and Pre-Prod
This document aims to provide comprehensive guidance for performing the Fingerprint signing with the help of the IDEMIA Morpho L1 device in the Windows web browser with NSDL as the Esigning Service Provider (ESP) in both the production and pre-production environment.
To use the IDEMIA MSO 1300 E3 RD 1 device in the production environment it should be whitelisted for the production environment. By default, the device is whitelisted for the production environment.
You can verify the status of the device by visiting: https://rdserviceonline.com/pages/172iserialvalidatenumber. Enter the serial number of the device and the device status will appear as "Whitelisted".
If the IDEMIA MSO 1300 E3 RD 1 device is not whitelisted for the production environment please drop an email to [email protected] along with the device serial number requesting to whitelist the device for the production environment.
Below are the prerequisites required to perform the Aadhaar-based fingerprint signing in the production environment with the help of the IDEMIA MSO 1300 E3 RD 1 device.
1. Window L1 RD (https/localhost): Click here to visit the website.
3. IDEMIA Morpho Biometric Device L1 ( MSO 1300 E3 RD 1 ).
Once you have all the above-mentioned prerequisites follow the below steps to set up the IDEMIA Morpho L1 device to perform the signing.
Step 1: Visit https://rdserviceonline.com/. Click on the download. Select the MS01300E3 RD L1 and click on the Window L1 RD (https/localhost). The driver will be downloaded.
Step 2: Double-click on the downloaded zip file.
Step 3: The folder will open. Double-click on the Windows L1-L0 RDService-HTTPs-LocalHost file.
Step 4: A folder will open. Double-click on the “Setup” folder.
Step 5: Double-click on the Windows_L1-L0_RDService-HTTPs-LocalHost application.
Step 6: A window will appear asking to extract the file. Click the “Extract all” button.
Step 7: Leave the destination folder as default. Click the “Extract” button.
Step 8: Once the file is extracted. A folder will appear. Double-click on the “Windows_L1-L0_RDService-HTTPs-LocalHost” folder
Step 9: Double-click on the “Stepup” folder.
Step 10: Double-click on the “Windows_L1-L0_RDService-HTTPs-LocalHost”. An administrator window will appear. Click the “Yes” button.
Step 11: The installation IDEMIA_L1RDService installation process will start. Please wait for a few seconds.
Step 12: The IDEMIA_L1_RDService will automatically start. Please wait for a few seconds.
Step 13: The IDEMIA_L1RDService_Installation will be completed.
Step 14: Click on the Windows icon from the taskbar and “Restart” the system.
Step 15: Once the system restarted. Insert the IDEMIA Morpho L1 device into the system. Please wait for a few seconds. A message will appear on the screen stating “ Init Process started”.
Step 16: Once the Int Process is completed. A confirmation message will appear stating “Device Ready to use”. Click on the “OK” button.
Step 17: Navigate to the signing link sent to the signer’s email (provided while initiating the contract).
Step 18: The pre-verification page will open, where the user needs to perform verification using a one-time OTP. Click on the “Get OTP” button.
Step 19: The user will receive the OTP on the email provided during contract initiation.
Step 20: Enter the OTP received via email and click on the “Verify” button.
Step 21: Upon successful verification, the user will land on the contract page. Click on the “I want to sign” button to proceed.
Step 22: The NSDL interface will open. Fill in the Aadhaar Number. The device is automatically detected. Select the device “IDEMIA_L1_RDSERVICE(CBME3RD)”.
Step 23: Tick the consent box. Click on the “capture” button to perform the signing.
Step 24: An embedded message will be displayed. Click the “OK” button.
Step 25: Place your finger firmly on the device. The finger will be automatically captured and a notification will appear stating “FINGER_OK”. Click the “OK” button.
Step 26: An embedded confirmation page will appear with a confirmation message stating “Finger Captured Successfully”. Click the "OK" button.
Step 27: The user will be automatically redirected to the signed contract where they can see their signature affixed to it. Click on “Done” to complete the signing process.
Step 28: The user will see the Success page and can click on the “Great” button or be redirected to the success URL set by the contract initiator after 5 seconds.
Step 29: The user will receive a confirmation email with the header “Confirmation of signing the document,” containing the signed contract.
Step 30: Once all signers have signed the contract, the user will receive another email with the header “Your document signing has been finalized successfully,” containing the final signed contract and the Audit Trail Certificate.
The IDEMIA MSO 1300 E3 RD 1 device is whitelisted for the production environment by default. To use the Morpho L1 device in a pre-production environment the device needs to be whitelisted for the pre-production environment.
To whitelist the device for the pre-production environment please drop an email to [email protected] along with the device serial number requesting to whitelist the device for the pre-production environment.

Step 14: Open the “Local Disk (C):”. Search for the “IdemiaL1RdService”. Click on the “IdemiaL1RdService”
Step 15: Look for the “RDService” folder. Click on the “RDService” folder.
Step 16: Look for the “mc_configuration” file. Select the “mc_configuration” file and open it with Notepad.
Step 17: Look for <LoginServer>Prod</LoginServer> in the opened file.
Step 18: Change the <LoginServer>Prod</LoginServer> to <LoginServer>PreProd</LoginServer>. Click Ctrl+S to save the file.
Step 19: Look for the “rc_configuration” file. Select the file and open it with Notepad.
Step 20: Look for <RDDetail>Prod</RDDetail> in the opened file.
Step 21: Change the <RDDetail>Prod</RDDetail> to <RDDetail>PreProd</RDDetail>. Click Ctrl+S to save the file.
Step 22: Click on the Windows icon from the taskbar and “Restart” the system.
