OTP verification is used to verify the mobile number of the users; it ensures that the mobile number provided by the onboarding merchant belongs to him. However, the user has the option to decide whether to keep verification mandatory or not.

How to Set Up OTP Verification for a Mobile number?

We have the "Verify by mobile" toggle button to enable the Verification of mobile numbers, for which we can customize the messages and text for the buttons available.

  1. For verification of the mobile number
  2. After the onboarding customer verifies his/her phone number and switches between pages during the journey, s/he no longer needs to verify his/her phone number again.
  3. If enabled, verification of email/ phone numbers cannot be skipped.
  4. It masks the number if the number gets pre-filled from the previous journey.
  5. The following details need to be filled out that will be provided by the third party to use their OTP services

  1. OTP Request URL: The URL that triggers the 3rd party API for OTP is entered here.
  2. OTP Verification URL: After entering the OTP, the URL used for verification is entered in this field.
  3. Channel Name: The name of the channel through which OTP is sent.
  4. Job Subject: The purpose of sending the OTP can be configured from here.
  5. Message Body: The message body while sending the OTP could be configured from here.
