Conditional Dropdown

6min

A Conditional Dropdown element is a UI component that dynamically changes the options available in a dropdown based on the selection made in another dropdown or a set of conditions. For example, if you have a dropdown for selecting a country, a conditional dropdown could be used to dynamically change the options in a second dropdown to show only the cities or states within that country.

  • Use Master Bucket Sheets: This option enables the use of uploaded Excel sheets in the master buckets that were previously created and stored in backops. The data stored in these Excel sheets can be easily accessed by users as needed, allowing them to quickly get any information they may need.Β With the use of master bucket sheets, users can take advantage of organizational features such as sorting and filtering data and organizing the lay. Furthermore, since these sheets have already been pre-created and verified by backops personnel, it ensures that there is a high level of accuracy and consistency within the data being collected.Β
  • Upload Excel Sheet: This allows manual upload of the required Excel sheet. On uploading Excel sheets the data present in the sheet will be shown.

Toggle Buttons

  • Required: To enable whether to make the variable required or not.
  • Non-Editable: To enable whether to make the field input value non-editable or not.
  • Allow Multi-Select Options:
  • ο»ΏEnable backops users to editο»Ώ: This toggle enables backops users to edit the field and override the customer's input.
  • Conditional Enable Disable: If the element is non-editable this feature will make it editable and if the element is editable this feature will make it non-editable based on the condition. Select the page and the variable on that page. Then choose from the conditions, i.e., 'When Above Variable's Value Exist's or 'When Above Variable's Value is', and choose the value of the variable for the second condition. So, when the value of the chosen variable on the selected page exists or has a certain defined value based on the condition, then this element, here, the textbox can be enabled/disabled. (Note: This is not implemented yet in the RM app)
