introduction this document aims to provide comprehensive guidance for performing the fingerprint signing with the help of the startek fm220u l1 device in the windows web browser with cdsl as the esigning service provider (esp) in both the production and pre production environment contract signing in production environment to use the fm220u l1 device to perform the fingerprint signing it driver https //acpl in net/downloads/setups/l1 ast300/setup acpl l1 rdservice zip 3\ startek biometric device l1 (fm220u l1) once you have all the prerequisites, follow the steps below to set up the startek fm220u l1 device to perform the signing steps to follow step 1 visit https //acpl in net/rdservice html https //acpl in net/rdservice html and download the “ windows support tools for l1 device ” and “ windows certified rd services for l1 device ” acpl webiste interface step 2 locate both the downloaded files double click on the “ setup acpl l1 support” zip file windows folder interface step 3 setup acpl l1 support windows installer package will appear double click on the “ setup acpl l1 support ” an administrator window will appear click on “ yes ” windows folder interface step 4 an acpl l1 support tool setup wizard will appear click the “ next ” button installation window interface step 5 select “ everyone ” leave the folder location as default click the “ next ” button installation window interface step 6 a confirmation window will appear click the “ next ” button installation window interface step 7 the acpl l1 support tools for rd service installation will start please wait for a few seconds installation window interface step 8 once installation is complete a confirmation popup window will appear click the “ close ” button installation window interface step 9 look for the setup acpl l1 rdservice which is downloaded double click on the “setup acpl l1 rdservice ” windows folder interface step 10 a setup acpl l1 rdservice windows installer package will appear double click on the “ setup acpl l1 rdservice ” an administrator window will appear click on the “ yes ” button windows folder interface step 11 an acpl l1 rd servuce setup wizard window will appear click the “ next ” button installation windows interface step 12 a window will appear to choose the installation folder leave it as a default select “everyone” and click the “ next ” button installation windows interface step 13 a confirmation window will appear click on the “ next ” button installation windows interface step 14 the acpl l1 rd service installation will start please wait for a few seconds installation windows interface step 15 once installation is complete a confirmation popup window will appear click the “ close ” button installation windows interface step 16 click on the search bar on the windows taskbar search for the " services " in the system windows search interface step 17 search for the acpl l1 registered device click on “ acpl l1 registered device ” a side window will appear click on the “restart” the service windows service interface step 18 the acpl l1 registered device will restart please wait for a few seconds windows service interface step 19 once the process is completed insert the fm220u l1 biometric device into the system a message will appear at the bottom right corner of the screen stating “ device inserted ” windows service interface step 20 navigate to the signing link sent to the signer’s email (provided while initiating the contract) step 21 the pre verification page will open, where the user needs to perform verification using a one time otp click on the “ get otp ” button otp verification page step 22 the user will receive the otp on the email provided during contract initiation step 23 enter the otp received via email and click on the “ verify ” button otp verification page step 24 upon successful verification, the user will land on the contract page click on the “ i want to sign ” button to proceed contract page step 25 the cdsl interface will open, please wait for a second it will automatically discover the rd service installed on the device step 26 once device discovery is completed the rd service will automatically detected step 27 fill in the aadhaar number tick the consent box step 28 click on the “start capture” button to perform the signing step 29 an interface will appear on the screen place your finger firmly on the device the fingerprint will be automatically captured step 30 the user will be automatically redirected to the signed contract where they can see their signature affixed to it click on “done” to complete the signing process step 31 the user will see the success page and can click on the “ great ” button or be redirected to the success url set by the contract initiator after 5 seconds success page step 32 the user will receive a confirmation email with the header “ confirmation of signing the document ,” containing the signed contract email interface step 33 once all signers have signed the contract, the user will receive another email with the header “your document signing has been finalized successfully,” containing the final signed contract and the audit
