Billing & Metering
Note that you will be charged for all requests that return a 200 or 404 status codes. It's important to refer to the documentation for each API to understand the specific error codes and responses for that particular API.
HTTP Status Code | Explanation |
---|---|
200 | The request was successful and the response body contains the requested data. |
404 | The requested resource was not found in the upstream database. For example, you have provided a PAN number AAPA0000A, which is valid in format but is not the PAN of a real person or a company. These are charged because even if the input PAN number is not a valid one, we still have made the request to an upstream system like NSDL and get charged for the same (and it uses the infrastructure :p ). Don't worry if you have recieved a 404 because of a invalid URL, they are not inserted in the metering database. |
Refer to understand the meaning of the different status codes provdied by the Signzy APIs.

We offer postpaid and prepaid billing options. For postpaid billing, we follow a monthly billing cycle, and invoices are sent to our customers via email. Our Dashboard also allows you to track your usage and expenditure, ensuring that you are always aware of your account status.
Additionally, we are excited to announce that we are launching a self-serve portal soon. With this portal, you will be able to make use of our prepaid billing system and have complete control over your billing and metering. Stay tuned for more updates on this feature.

Postpaid billing is a payment option that allows you to use Signzy's APIs without any upfront payment. In this billing model, you will be billed at the end of each billing cycle based on the usage of our APIs during that period.
To ensure that you have complete visibility into your usage and billing, we provide you with detailed usage reports and invoices. These reports will show you the amount of usage, the type of API used, and the cost associated with each API.
At Signzy, we believe in complete transparency when it comes to billing, and our postpaid billing model is designed to provide you with a flexible and convenient way to use our APIs without any upfront payment.
In Signzy's postpaid billing system, we follow a monthly billing cycle. At the beginning of each month, we calculate the total usage of our API services for each customer in the previous month. Based on this usage, we generate an invoice and send it to the customer via email. The invoice includes the details of the services used, along with the corresponding charges.
Our customers have a credit period of 15 days to make the payment, after which a late payment fee may be applied. We also provide our customers with a detailed usage report, which can be accessed through our developer portal. This report helps them keep track of their API usage and plan accordingly for the next billing cycle.
