Setting the Rules
2min
After creating a flow for the onboarding journey, the next step is to set rules for the journey. These rules define the page navigation during the front-end journey. These rules can be of 'no condition', 'logical', or 'API based'. Here, we are making a basic journey so no conditions are used here. To get a deeper understanding, head to the documentation on Rule Engine under Configuration Engine
The rules for this onboarding journey can be set in a few simple steps:
- Select the created flow- First Onboarding Journey from the dropdown menu in the top left corner.
- All the pages under the flow will appear on the left side.
- Select a page/screen from the flow to add rules/conditions.
- For every page/screen, the option to add a rule to the screen is present.
- Select the 'No' checkbox, since we are using 'no condition'. On selecting this type, only the destination screen is selected.
- Select the screen which will be next after the steps in the present screen are completed and submitted. This screen can be selected from the 'Destination Screen' dropdown.
- This is done for all the screens.
- For the last screen select the destination screen as the 'Summary' page.
- On the top, the first page for the journey can be chosen from the dropdown menu. Here, it is the 'Personal Information' page. The next page after the summary page can also be chosen from the dropdown menu, which is the 'Thank You' page by default.
- Click the 'Save and Proceed' button after selecting the destination screen for each page/screen.
