MIS
While choosing the range from when we need the report is similar to the old MIS, there is now a new section for selecting the flows, allowing us to choose the specific flows for which we need an MIS report. Additionally, we can choose the necessary criteria and export all reports in CSV format.
The user can choose a date range and flow and filter out the data they want to see. They can view the column that they want in the report. The new MIS reporting dashboard also allows filtering results based on the values within each column. Users can save reports based on these filters.
The applied filters can also be saved for future use so that the back office user does not have to apply the same filter whenever they want to see or download the report. These saved filters can be used by all the back office users who have access to MIS or they can also be used privately by the user who created it.
- Select the date range by choosing the start and end date.
- Select the columns that you want to see and/or download for the report.
- The column(s) can be sorted and filters can be applied to them individually.
- Click on 'Save Filter'.
- Enter the filter name. Tick the checkbox for 'Private Filter' if you want the filter to be only used by you.
- Click on 'Create' and the filter will be saved.
- Click on 'Export CSV' to download the filtered report.
Smart filter feature dynamically adjusts available filter actions based on the data type of the variable (e.g., Integer, Date) to improve user experience and relevancy of filtering on Dashboards & MIS Reports.
Also, on predefined time frames (Today, Last 24 Hours, Last 3 Days, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days) on any of the date based fields (For example, Application Submit Date, Application Assigned Date, etc).
With Smart Filters, back office users can instantly narrow down and get a report of the list of applications submitted by applying more relevant and precise filters based on variable type, enabling them to quickly identify and prioritize the most urgent tasks.
It includes the following steps:
- Variable Selection: The user selects a variable to filter on the New MIS Dashboard
- Smart Filter Activation: Based on the selected variable's data type, the UI dynamically presents the applicable filter actions.
- For Integer variables:
- Equals
- Does not equal
- Greater than
- Greater than or equal to
- Less than
- Less than or equal to
- Between
- For Date fields:
- Equals
- Does not equal
- Before
- After
- Between
- Today
- Last Day
- Last 3 Days
- Last 7 Days,
- Last 30 Days
- Filter Application: The user selects the desired filter action and inputs the criteria (if applicable). The dashboard/report updates to reflect the filtered data.
The user can then save the filter.
This feature helps to export the filter from one environment and import it to a different environment across the same realm. Users can easily transfer their report settings, including filters and column names, between environments.
- This is done using 2 CTA’s (Import Filter, and Export Filter CTA)
- Each of these CTA’s are present in the Dashboard page, along with the New MIS report
- Filters would refer to the specific columns selected in the New MIS report
- For each flow in an environment, there could exist multiple filters
- Each filter can be exported to a different environment by clicking on “Export Filter” CTA
- Upon clicking on “Export Filter” CTA, a JSOn will be downloaded which can be imported into other environments using the “Import Filter” CTA
- When this filter is imported into a different environment, all the columns which are an exact 100% text match with the re-mapped column names in the Imported filter will be selected, and the rest will not be selected.
The column in the MIS report(for a particular filter) can be renamed for each column and this can be exported from one environment and then imported to another environment across the same realm.
- This is done using 2 CTA’s (Import, and Export Column Remapping CTA)
- Each of these CTA’s are present in the “Column Remapping” page
- Column Remapping would refer to the alternate text we provide to the column names in the MIS report
- For each flow in an environment, there exists 1 corresponding Column Remapping
- This Column Remapping can be then exported to other environments, by clicking on “Export Column Remapping”
- Upon clicking on “Export Column Remapping” CTA, a JSOn will be downloaded which can be imported into other environments using the “Import Column Remapping” CTA.
- When this Column Remapping is imported into a different environment, all the columns which are an exact 100% text match with the column names in the imported column Remapping will be renamed, and the rest will hold the default names
All the fields and data points present in the New MIS Report have a standard nomenclature. This would ensure all the fields in the MIS Report are easily identifiable and can be associated with a specific page and specific variable without much confusion.
The new nomenclature for all front end fields in New MIS Report is as follows: “PageName_VariableName”.
This feature aims to simplify and decrease the time it takes for Delivery/Backops Users to set up New MIS Reports.
